This Oroville Foundation of Flight (OFOF) project was instigated by, and is dedicated to, Victoria Lane, the wife of Glenn Lane
, who preferred a somewhat more accommodating restroom facility than the
rolling "port-o-potty" that was used for the first three years at the OFOF
site. She provided the initial financial incentive also, in order to get
the project "kick started". The completed facility includes a wash basin,
mirror, lights, timed heat lamps, coved linoleum floor and porch, ventilating
window, a cold water handheld shower for use of summer campers (and useful
for swamping out), in addition to the commode equipped with ADA support bars and a wheelchair access ramp.
The photos here are arranged with latest at the top descending in date
order. The date each photo was taken is indicated in the date code incorporated
in the file names shown. For instance, "031030" indicates a date of 30 Sept
2003.
The interior of
the project has now been finished, thanks to the good work and materials
of Bob Foster and Howard Fairbanks. It was put to good use with no
problems at the 2004 Annual Chapter 1112 Fly-In in May and will be much appreciated
for years to come.
